ArtsConnect strongly believes that where the arts flourish, lives are enriched and communities prosper. As a non-profit arts center, just 12 miles outside of Cincinnati – in Springfield Township, Ohio, we facilitate creative classes, events, public art instillations and engaging experiences for our geographic region.
After the pandemic, we began working on a concept to further support local artists. We wanted to do more for artists than simply help sell their work, we wanted to foster careers by offering our expertise in business and branding via a comprehensive program. And so after a year of brainstorming, interviewing artists, developing a website, and securing grant support through the Ohio Arts Council, we launched RISE: A Learning-Based Art Collective that combines key strategies from tech startup incubators with the invaluable knowledge from successful, full-time artists and art entrepreneurs, while also giving back to future artists in schools.
The RISE program offers artists in the Cincinnati region professional assets, a monthly professional development series, installation opportunities, and this marketplace website with fulfillment services included.
Artists store their art safely, then deliver it to ArtsConnect once their work has sold. ArtsConnect carefully packs and ships their original works onto you, the customer. And customers can find comfort in knowing that when they purchase from this site, they are not only supporting an artist’s bottom line, they are supporting an artist’s professional growth – all while supporting a younger generation of aspiring artists. This is because a percentage of each art sale brings art programs, such as theater or a residency, to schools serving Springfield Township students.
