Hope In The Darkness - Karen Coleman
This is an original Acrylic painting on stretched canvas. This painting was inspired by a foggy morning on my deck. As the fog lifted a little I could begin to see the steeple of North Minster Church and it gave me a sense of clam in the otherwise eerie fog.

About the Artist
"I have always enjoyed being creative and took every art class offered in high school. About 6 years ago I needed to find a new, less physically demanding hobby after a back injury. I happened across a mailer and then an email regarding Arts Connect adult watercolor classes on Wednesdays. Since I didn't work on Wednesdays I took this as a sign that I was meant to take up painting. It took a couple classes before I figured out the technique and produced anything close to the assignment. Once I got going I found painting very relaxing and despite going back to work full time I squeeze in time to create a few paintings a year for myself, gifts and requests from friends and family".
